As part of this, London & Partners wanted complete confidence that they were doing everything they possibly could to protect their organisation, their people, and their data in the digital landscape. It was decided that working towards Cyber Essentials certification would be the best way to do that.
Cyber Essentials is a scheme developed by the National Cyber Security Centre, and backed by the UK Government. Businesses that achieve the certification have shown they have the right measures in place to minimise risk effectively, and are able to demonstrate a high level of commitment to digital safety.
However, for many organisations – particularly long-established businesses utilising legacy processes – meeting the standards isn’t always easy. That’s why London & Partners contacted us here at Reliable.
Immediately, a major obstacle became apparent. With 260 employees working across multiple departments – and each team with their own processes, tools, and ways of working – assessing compliance as a whole was going to be a tricky task. Fortunately, there was an effective solution.
Our first step was to work to identify some specific key areas where improvement was needed to bring digital processes up to Cyber Essentials standards. By first focusing on these core aspects, it became easier to build a detailed plan of action to analyse and resolve issues in more niche areas.
London & Partners were already implementing many of the measures needed to protect their business. However, it was clear that there were some areas where enhanced protocols were required. Through a combination of consultancy, security baseline assessments, policy creation, and endpoint management services within the Microsoft 365 Business Premium package, we were able to work closely with London & Partners, as well as their third-party suppliers, to achieve even more.

Reliable spent between three and four months working with London & Partners. This period included the ongoing delivery of employee training sessions, and remedial tasks needed to optimise the strategy. Following the engagement, London & Partners were awarded their Cyber Essentials accreditation.
